# Can’t Log In to WordPress? How to Get Back Into Your Site

Start with “Lost your password?” on the login page. If the reset email never comes, the login page loops or a security plugin locked you out, you can regain access through your hosting account by resetting the password or disabling plugins.

## Try this first

- Use “Lost your password?” and check spam for the reset email
- Clear cookies, or try a private window and a different browser
- Wait out a security lockout, or try from a different network
- In your hosting file manager, rename the plugins folder to disable plugins
- Reset the password through your host’s tools or phpMyAdmin
- Rename the plugins folder back and re-enable plugins one at a time
