# Duplicate Google Business Profile Listings? How to Remove or Merge Them

Duplicate listings split your reviews and confuse customers. If you manage both, ask Google Business Profile support to remove or merge the extra one; if you don’t, report it on Google Maps as a duplicate. Keep your details identical everywhere so new duplicates don’t appear.

## Try this first

- Search Google Maps for every version of your business
- Note which listing has the most reviews and the right details
- If you manage both, contact Google Business Profile support about the duplicate
- If you don’t, use “Suggest an edit” and report it as a duplicate
- Fix the old details at their source on directories
- Check again in a few weeks

Common causes

- A listing created twice by different people
- An old address or phone number creating a second listing
- Moving to a new location
- Separate listings for staff at the same address
- Directories and data providers feeding old details
