# Duplicate Transactions in QuickBooks? How to Find and Fix Them

Duplicates usually come from two sources recording the same money: a bank feed plus an app integration, a manual entry plus the feed, or a reconnected bank downloading again. Find the pattern first, then match or exclude the extras instead of deleting at random.

## Try this first

- Run a report for the affected account and sort by date and amount
- Work out where each duplicate came from
- In Banking, match transactions to existing entries instead of adding them
- Exclude duplicates still waiting in “For review”
- Carefully undo duplicates that were already added
- Reconcile against your bank statement to confirm

- A bank reconnection re-downloading old transactions
- Sales receipts and deposits both counted as income
