# Webcam or Microphone Not Working in Teams or Zoom? How to Fix It

Check Windows’ privacy settings first: Settings › Privacy & security › Camera and Microphone must allow access, including for desktop apps. Then pick the right camera and mic inside Teams or Zoom and close other apps that might be using them.

## Try this first

- Check for a physical shutter or a camera key on the keyboard
- Allow camera and microphone access in Settings › Privacy & security
