## Call Screening for Seniors (Only Approved Numbers Ring) for Wisconsin businesses

Call Screening for Seniors (Only Approved Numbers Ring) from Wisconsin Tech Shop: Calls from family, friends, doctors and other approved numbers ring through. Unknown callers are asked who they are or sent to voicemail, and robocalls never ring at all. We work with businesses throughout Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Appleton, Kenosha, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Wausau and the Northwoods. Pricing typically starts at $400 plus phone service, and most projects take 3–7 days.

### What's included

- An approved-numbers list built with the family
- Unknown callers screened: they say their name or go to voicemail
- Robocalls and fake local numbers stopped before the phone rings
- Voicemails written out with scam warnings
- A family dashboard and text alerts for new callers

What this can look like

An Appleton grandmother went from a dozen scam calls a day to almost none, while her doctor’s office and grandkids still ring straight through.

Illustrative example of a typical project.

## Who it's for

Adult children and grandchildren looking out for a parent, seniors who are tired of scam calls and emails, caregivers, and senior living communities, churches and senior centers.

## How it works

1. **Family call:** We talk with the family (and the senior) about who they hear from, what has gone wrong before and how much help they want.
2. **Trusted lists:** Together we build the lists of trusted people, businesses and numbers: family, friends, doctors, pharmacy, bank and church.
3. **Set up and practice:** We install and configure everything, then practice with the senior until it feels easy, with large print and simple steps.
4. **Family stays in the loop:** The family gets alerts and an easy way to approve new contacts, and we handle changes whenever they’re needed.

## Call Screening for Seniors (Only Approved Numbers Ring) FAQs

### Does it work with a landline?

Usually, yes: a landline number can move to a screening service that then rings the home phone. For cell phones we combine the phone’s built-in screening with carrier tools. We explain the options and monthly costs first.

### What about emergencies?

Approved numbers always ring, and we add emergency contacts, doctors and pharmacies at setup. Calling 911 is never affected.

### Will Mom still get email from new people she wants to hear from?

Yes. Anyone can be added to her approved list in seconds, by her or by a family member, and their email shows up from then on.

### Does call screening block doctors and pharmacies?

Not if they’re on the approved list, and we add them at setup. Unknown callers can be asked to say who they are, so a new doctor’s office can still get through or leave a message.
