Computer Running Slow? How to Find What’s Dragging It Down
Restart it properly, then open Task Manager to see what’s using the processor, memory and disk. Most slow computers are fixed by trimming startup apps, freeing up storage and removing unwanted software; an older hard drive or too little memory may need an upgrade.

Questions
Why is my computer faster after a restart?
Restarting clears memory and finishes pending updates. Shutting down with Fast Startup on doesn’t fully reset Windows.
Will more RAM make my computer faster?
If memory is regularly full in Task Manager, yes. If not, an SSD or a cleanup will help more.
