Movie Maker Hollywood Pro · Rendering & Physics

Film-Quality Rendering, Path Tracing and Physics

Render dialogue scenes fast, hero shots beautifully and simulations exactly the same every time. When a shot needs more, hand it to Blender or Unreal Engine without leaving the studio.

What you can do

Film-quality mode

Each frame averages many samples for real motion blur, lens depth of field, soft shadows and clean edges, with AgX tone mapping.

Path-traced stills (experimental)

Physically lit hero frames and posters from a GPU path tracer, with denoising. Still in testing, so expect long first loads.

Physics

Rigid bodies with mass, friction and bounce, impulses and fracture into pieces, baked so every take is identical.

Blender Cycles and EEVEE

Send a scene to Blender (free, installed separately) for final renders with EXR passes: depth, normal, cryptomatte, mist and ambient occlusion.

Unreal Engine 5

Build and render scenes in Unreal Engine 5 (free, installed separately) without opening its window, or take over in the Unreal editor.

Simulations

Cloth, flags, curtains, capes, smoke, ocean and destruction through Blender.

Transparent renders

See-through takes as WebM with alpha or PNG sequences, ready to layer over live action.

Long renders in sections

Render a long film in parts and stitch them back together without re-encoding.

Questions

Do I need Blender or Unreal Engine?

No. Movie Maker renders on its own. Blender and Unreal Engine are free, optional extras for the heaviest shots.

How fast is it?

Measured on a mid-range GTX 1660 Ti: a 1080p film-quality frame of a furnished room in about 0.4 seconds, and a path-traced still 640 to 960 pixels wide in about 1.5 to 7.6 seconds.
